{"id":66051,"date":"2023-02-24T11:15:01","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T00:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=66051"},"modified":"2023-02-23T11:21:08","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T00:21:08","slug":"callout-for-bendigo-art-show-entries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/callout-for-bendigo-art-show-entries\/","title":{"rendered":"Callout for Bendigo Art Show entries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Bendigo Easter Art Show is calling out for budding and experienced artists to submit their work for this year&#8217;s exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The community arts show and sales will be held at Bendigo Town Hall across the Easter long weekend and sees one in three attendees walk out the door having made a purchase.<\/p>\n<p>The annual show is the Rotary Club of Bendigo&#8217;s largest fundraiser of the year and program chair Graeme Clarke said he is hoping to get nearly a thousand pieces on display for this year&#8217;s show.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If we can get 900 pieces, we are nearly full,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Everything that goes on exhibit goes on sale.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We then take a commission of every painting sold and that goes towards the works we do both locally and internationally.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Clarke said the show is open for all artists and calls for anyone who meets the criteria to get involved.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_94386\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-94386\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-94386\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/20180329_221010_40696.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"292\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-94386\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Organisers are aiming once again to fill Bendigo Town Hall with works of art for sale.
