HEADSPACE Geelong is proud to have committed to enhancing financial inclusion, resilience and wellbeing in Australia by assisting young people in knowing where to turn if they experience financial hardship through the Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP).<\/p>\n
As members of FIAP, a cross sector program enabling organisations to join forces towards financial wellbeing, headspace endeavours to provide practical initiatives and care to support vulnerable people so they access safe and reliable assistance and information.<\/p>\n
headspace Geelong centre manager, Tenille Favazza said she is proud that the organisation has committed to the three step action plan to support those facing various challenges in the local community.<\/p>\n
“We aim to continue to build on these actions to include supporting the young people we serve, their families and the community, as well as our staff in financial literacy and capabilities in the coming years” said Ms Favazza said.<\/p>\n
“We know that financial hardship can affect anyone and have significant impacts on people’s mental and physical health and well-being, which is why it is vital that we continue to work together to provide genuine support for those who need it.”<\/p>\n
Young people aged 12 to 25, as well as their families and friends can seek support at headspace in Geelong by visiting 105 Yarra Street, Geelong, or by calling the centre on 5222 6690.<\/p>\n
