GEELONG has unveiled its Anzac Day uniform ahead of Saturday night\u2019s Grand Final rematch and home-opener at GMHBA Stadium against the Sydney Swans.<\/p>\n

The guernsey\u2019s unveiling comes ahead of the Australian Football League\u2019s Anzac Appeal Round, headlined by Collingwood and Essendon.<\/p>\n

Geelong\u2019s new guernsey pays respects to the men and women who have served Australia during times of war and conflict.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great initiative for all the people that have fought for the country in the past and are still doing it now,\u201d Cats player Mitch Duncan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeelong Cats have had 13 players represent the country in that way, so we are thinking of all those people who have fought for their country and their families.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great initiative, and one we look forward to representing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The front of guernsey features the Anzac Appeal badge above the AFL\u2019s logo, while the back lists the names of former Geelong Football Club players who answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice.<\/p>\n

The names include James Aitken, John Bell, Alan Cordner, Joe Crowl, Clyde Helmer, Les James, Jim Knight, Ralph Lancaster, Bill Landy, Jack Lynch, Arthur McKenzie, Ted McLean and Joe Slater.<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the guernsey\u2019s sales will be donated to the RSL\u2019s Anzac Appeal.<\/p>\n
