“Venous disease needs to be accurately assessed and a personalised management plan needs to be drawn up to get the most benefit and longevity,” Dr Lakkaraju said.<\/p>\n

“We do this in a single consultation using a detailed ultrasound assessment that I perform at the consultation.<\/p>\n

The patient is presented with a personalised management plan, the appointments necessary to complete the treatment, and a financial disclosure so that the patient can make an informed decision both clinically and financially.<\/p>\n

This encompasses back and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems, tendon and joint diseases, and conditions such as trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint-based disorders, and foot pain, all of which can be addressed with image-guided therapies.<\/p>\n

The clinic further provides treatments for neck and jaw-related headaches using precise injections.<\/p>\n

Apart from performing the whole gamut of cortisone injections to the spine and periphery using image-guided methods, Dr Lakkaraju also uses image-guided ortho-biologic treatments such as prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and laser treatments that enhance the body’s healing potential.<\/p>\n

He uses nerve-directed therapies including radiofrequency and laser to help manage nerve pain. “The Torquay Medical Hub is colocated with a number of other medical and allied health specialities and has a radiology facility on site that makes it a one-stop shop for managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions,” he said.<\/p>\n
