PAW patrol will descend on Geelong once again this morning (May 28) for the RSPCA Victoria’s Million Paws Walk which will help to raise funds against animal cruelty.<\/p>\n

The Geelong Botanical Gardens is one of eight locations across the state where thousands of locals and their four-legged friends will walk to help support RSPCA in continuing to fund the critical work the organisation is doing to stop animal abuse.<\/p>\n

Last year, nearly 20,000 dogs turned to the RSPCA around Australia for help, many were victims of cruelty, bred to turn a profit, or abandoned by the humans they loved unconditionally.<\/p>\n

Geelong Million Paws Walk coordinator Kate Kasby said the event, which has been running for over 25 years, would be a fantastic opportunity for locals to support their four-legged friends for a good cause.<\/p>\n

“The Million Paws Walk is the highlight of the year for many dog lovers across Victoria, and it’s no different in Geelong,” Ms Kasby said.<\/p>\n

“We know people love their pets and there’s nothing better for people or their dogs, than getting out for a walk.<\/p>\n

“Million Paws Walk is a fun day out celebrating the animals in our lives and raising much needed funds for thousands of animals in need who come in through RSPCA Victoria’s doors each year.”<\/p>\n

The walk starts at 11am and will be accompanied by a BBQ and a range of pet exhibits.<\/p>\n
