Oehler Stuttgart piano brought back to life by Lynda White Real Estate\u2019s Lynda White and the Geelong East Men\u2019s Shed.<\/p>\n<p>Ms White first came across the down-trodden piano in 2020 and made it her mission to restore the antique piano and give back to Geelong\u2019s cystic fibrosis charity.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_77017\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-77017\" style=\"width: 413px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-77017\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"413\" height=\"275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/06\/CG_PRINT_PF_230617_202714-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 413px) 100vw, 413px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-77017\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 600 people attended the Gala Ball, the first since 2019.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The piano eventually sold for $2,200 with three total bidders competing for possession of the piano.<\/p>\n<p>Ms White said she is glad to have played a role in this year\u2019s gala ball.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a little bit sad that the piano is gone and that there is a big gap in my living room now, but at the same time I have a very deep sense of satisfaction that two charities have benefitted from this project,\u201d Ms White said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing in this world that isn&#8217;t recyclable, this piano has come full-circle and it will provide a lot of joy in the purchaser\u2019s household for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms Tremul said the gala ball will return next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Geelong community has rallied together raising almost $130,000 at Cystic Fibrosis Geelong\u2019s annual Gala Ball.
