Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The event went surprisingly good, we haven&#8217;t got a hard number yet on attendance, but we project it ranged from 45,000 to 50,000 people over the three days,&#8221; Mr Heath said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We thought the rain would slow people down, but they still came out which was terrific to see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The festival enthralled the crowd with the Quarter Mile sprints involving over 300 vehicles going full throttle down Ritchie Boulevard with over 1,000 automotive displays lined throughout the event site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 559px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/11\/DSC08458_85789.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"559\" height=\"373\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vintage cars lined Eastern Beach over all three days.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event also welcomed a range of operational military vehicles, providing festivalgoers a rare opportunity to observe the vehicles up close including a special air show from the flying Warbirds.<\/p>\n<p>Other community organisations were out in force, including the CFA, Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, and the SES to interact with the community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/11\/DSC08524_85734.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"376\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re always wanting to do something new and interesting each year at the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival,&#8221; Mr Heath said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re already talking about next year and lining up suggestions for both on-track and off-track festivities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can&#8217;t wait to welcome people back on the last weekend of November in 2024.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 521px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/11\/DSC09317_85771.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"521\" height=\"348\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Over 45,000 visitors attended this year&#8217;s Geelong Revival Motoring Festival on the Geelong Waterfront.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For full results from this year&#8217;s Quarter Mile Sprints, head to geelongrevival.com.au\/past-results\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ENGINES revved at Geelong Waterfront last weekend as the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival made its annual return.
