A NEW Chair has been announced at genU following the resignation of the organisation’s former chair Dr Michael Stanford.<\/p>\n
genU’s Board of Directors named Ingrid Williams as the company’s new chair.<\/p>\n
Ms Williams’ has been on genU’s Board since November last year, taking on the role as deputy chair.<\/p>\n
Ms Williams is also genU’s current chair of care governance and client experience committee.<\/p>\n
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Michael Standford and the other Board Directors over the past 12 months and immersing myself into genU,” Ms Williams said.<\/p>\n
“I’d like to thank Michael for his significant contribution and am thrilled to be stepping up to the role of Board Chair.<\/p>\n
“We’ve recently embarked on a multi-year digital strategy, realigned our organisation structure for more effective service delivery and positioned ourselves in Tasmania.<\/p>\n
“We know further changes will be required with industry reforms coming however we’re optimistic about the future. We have a great legacy to build on, staff who are experienced and passionate, and an ongoing commitment to service excellence to meet the needs of our current and future clients.”<\/p>\n
Ms Williams boasts experience as non-executive director and board chair with over 30 years’ experience in the health services sector.<\/p>\n
This includes senior executive roles in both public and private hospitals.<\/p>\n
She is also the former CEO and owner of several aged care businesses and is currently the managing director of an advisory consulting business.<\/p>\n
genU director Jan O’Keefe will take over Ms Williams’ previous role as deputy chair of the Board, on which she has served since 2019.<\/p>\n
genU CEO Clare Amies said she is looking forward to working with Ingrid and Jan in their new roles.<\/p>\n
“genU is in a really exciting transformation and growth period and both Ingrid and Jan have demonstrated leadership and specific expertise that will prove invaluable over the next few years,” Ms Amies said.<\/p>\n
“They are both strategic thinkers, have a deep understanding of the sectors we work within, and are committed to our vision, our strategic direction, and the continued expansion of our services nationally.<\/p>\n
