Eastman has been working at Edencraft since her family took over the business in 2016.<\/p>\n
She stepped into the general manager role at the beginning of 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we bought the business, we only had two workers and we\u2019ve just continued to grow from there.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow at Edencraft, we\u2019ve got around 40 workers.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we\u2019ve grown, my role has just naturally progressed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Part of that growth has included the evolution of the Edencraft group.<\/p>\n
Already well-known in the industry for the manufacture of commercial-grade fibreglass fishing boats, in 2019 the business established its service centre, Edencraft Marine.<\/p>\n
This was followed by Edencraft Creative, the company\u2019s advanced manufacturing division, last year.<\/p>\n
Eastman oversees each of the three divisions.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s always challenging. There\u2019s always something new to do or a way that you can be better,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s always room for innovation and room to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t get to do customer-facing stuff as much as I used to, but I still definitely love it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the best part of the job when someone picks up their boat and they\u2019ve worked their whole life to be able to get the boat. It\u2019s their dream and then they finally make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
She hopes her recognition as one of the industry\u2019s rising stars will enhance Edencraft\u2019s international reputation and aid the expansion of its operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
