{"id":89412,"date":"2024-01-10T16:29:08","date_gmt":"2024-01-10T05:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/bowen-young-to-start-tour-in-geelong\/"},"modified":"2024-01-10T16:33:49","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T05:33:49","slug":"bowen-young-to-start-tour-in-geelong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/bowen-young-to-start-tour-in-geelong\/","title":{"rendered":"Bowen * Young to start tour in Geelong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bowen * Young, the Nashville-based duo of Australian singer-songwriter and actor Clare Bowen and American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumental Brandon Robert Young, will start a national run of intimate <\/strong><strong>acoustic shows with a gig in Geelong this Friday, January 12. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a busy year that saw them release the first music from their coming debut album <em>Us<\/em> and tour extensively throughout the US and UK (including a Hyde Park date as a special guest of Billy Joel), Bowen * Young will open the tour at Geelong&#8217;s Barwon Club before heading to Melbourne, Castlemaine, Sydney, Newcastle, Tamworth, Bowen\u2019s home town of Wollongong and finishing in Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so excited to be coming back home for the first time in four years, to reconnect with all my fans in Australia and share this new music with them,\u201d Bowen said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t wait for this tour, to see all my friends and family and make some amazing memories with you on these shows.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTouring Australia with Clare has been some of my favorite moments playing music,&#8221; Young added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since we first wrote these new songs together, we\u2019ve been counting the days til the stars aligned for us to get back down under and share them with everyone.
