Photo: TIMOTHY MARRIAGE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Nightjar Festival&#8217;s return marked the end of a four-year hiatus and the beginning of a new chapter for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Re-launching this year with a new format, the festival introduced new activities, impressive new infrastructure and a renewed vision that placed live music firmly at its centre.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125802\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125802\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125802 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/TAD8690_websize-1024x683.jpg?_t=1705466622\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125802\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ARIA and eight time Golden Guitar winning artist, Fanny Lumsden. Photo: TIMOTHY MARRIAGE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Festival founder Lyndelle Flintoft said the event&#8217;s organisers had received positive feedback from those who attended the festival and were looking forward to returning next year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our team are exhausted but so happy with our first year back,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was a tiny house, community discussions on men&#8217;s mental health, market stalls, food stalls and so many free kids&#8217; activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125803\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125803\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125803 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/TAD8541_websize-1024x683.jpg?_t=1705466676\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: TIMOTHY MARRIAGE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Big Top played host to an all-star musical line-up that included emerging local talents and established, award-winning acts.<\/p>\n<p>First Nations storyteller Yirrmal and the legendary Shane Howard ended the festival&#8217;s first night with an epic rendition of &#8216;Solid Rock&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Harry James Angus of The Cat Empire fame, Ash Grunwald, the esteemed Fanny Lumsden and the Murlocs each hit the stage, thrilling crowds with their energetic performances.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125804\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125804\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125804 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/IM20456_websize-683x1024.jpg?_t=1705466715\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"902\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125804\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rock\/blues trio Vasco Era brought the house down on the festival&#8217;s final evening.
