{"id":89750,"date":"2024-01-19T04:27:24","date_gmt":"2024-01-18T17:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=89750"},"modified":"2024-01-18T09:33:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T22:33:50","slug":"geelong-beer-festival-frothing-to-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/geelong-beer-festival-frothing-to-go\/","title":{"rendered":"Geelong Beer Festival frothing to go"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE final touches are being put on this year&#8217;s Geelong Beer Festival, which will again present an afternoon of fine brews and entertainment tomorrow (Saturday, January 20).<\/p>\n<p>Festivalgoers will be able to craft their own adventure in the picturesque surrounds of Johnstone Park.<\/p>\n<p>Sip and sample from a diverse range of local and national brewers, distilleries and wineries.<\/p>\n<p>Other attractions include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Live cooking demonstrations at the Culinary Stage showcasing local ingredients with culinary names including Maestro chef Adrian Richardson and Steven Nichols from Workers Barbecue<\/li>\n<li>The Masterclasses will be fun and informative with brewer forums, trivia, beer\/food matching, free tastings and more delivered by local industry stalwarts Tiffany Waldron and Lindsy Greig<\/li>\n<li>The Sound Lounge will deliver roving and interactive performances with the Ale Capones, DJ and saxophone sets, dance competitions and a not-to-be-missed finale from the Piano Bar&#8217;s Andy Pobjoy and the Ale Capones<\/li>\n<li>Electronica duo Bag Raiders will headline The Main Stage with a DJ set, supported by local favourites Famous Will and local covers band Madhouse, and<\/li>\n<li>Roving performers, children&#8217;s entertainment and family-friendly activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Geelong Beer Festival will be held in Johnstone Park, Geelong- within easy walking distance of Geelong railway station &#8211; tomorrow from 12 noon to 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>The fun continues at the official after-party at The Inn Hotel from 8pm, featuring a DJ set from Cosmo&#8217;s Midnight plus supports.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or to buy tickets, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/geelongbeerfestival.com.au\">geelongbeerfestival.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE final touches are being put on this year&#8217;s Geelong Beer Festival, which will again present an afternoon of fine brews and entertainment tomorrow (Saturday, January 20).
