MORE than 100 golfers from 25 local businesses will tee off for a good cause today (February 9) at the 32nd e&s Golf Classic.<\/p>\n

The event at Curlewis Golf Club will raise funds for Give Where You Live Foundation’s (GWYLF) work to help create a fairer community.<\/p>\n

Funds will be directed towards food security, homelessness and inclusive employment across the Geelong region.<\/p>\n

Foundation Silver Donor, Hanlon Industries, Built, Whitford and Waurn Ponds Hotel are among the businesses teeing off for the cause.<\/p>\n

GWYLF chief executive officer Bill Mithen said the annual golf classic was an integral part of its fundraising.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Since its inception in 1992 this event has raised over $2 million for the Geelong community,” he said.<\/p>\n

“The annual e&s Golf Classic is always a highlight on the Foundation’s events calendar, with golfers from a range of local businesses coming together to enjoy a great day out on the course, while also raising vital funds for the Foundation.”<\/p>\n

A range of prizes are on offer for winners of various contests and competitions, including the hole in one award.<\/p>\n

Adroit Insurance & Risk is also sponsoring a luncheon for players after their time on course.<\/p>\n
