GEELONG\u2019s favourite feel good foodie event is back next month to support the life-saving work of the Barwon Health Foundation.<\/p>\n

Geelong\u2019s Longest Lunch returns on March 15 at Geelong\u2019s Transvaal Square and is slated to feature some of the region\u2019s top chefs who will donate their skills and time for a good cause.<\/p>\n

Mike Jacques from Tulip Restaurant, James Bond-Kennedy from Tommy Gunns, Andy Symeonakis from 1915, Leonie Mills and Daniel Brehaut from The Culinary Collective at The Gordon, Chris Hudich from The Wharf Shed, Stuart North from Empire Grill, Brian Anderson from Baah Lah Dining, Eli Grubb, from Eureka Hotel and Chris Hassan from The Meredith Hotel will work together to plate delicious produce from across the region.<\/p>\n

Well known radio and television personality Jo Stanley will be the event MC and special guest speakers will include fellow television personality Gorgi Coghlan and her brother Nigel Rendell who is undergoing cancer treatment at Barwon Health.<\/p>\n

Barwon Health Foundation acting executive director Francis Trainor said the popular event is a unique experience for those who consider themselves a foodie.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust once a year, Geelong\u2019s most popular chefs come together to create one mouth-watering meal for this iconic event.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme is \u2018the Geelong region plated\u2019 presenting a paddock to plate, farm to fork vibe to this special fare.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cause will be central to the event, with all money raised supporting Barwon Health patient comfort and care for locals.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year tickets sold out in just under three weeks, so we highly recommend getting in quick for this not-to-be-missed afternoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets are $180 per person and include canapes and drinks on arrival, a three course lunch with matching wines, entertainment and a donation to the Barwon Health Foundation.<\/p>\n
