“Fairy” is an interactive and immersive exhibition with installations and projections drawing visitors in.<\/p>\n
“A lot of the artists aren’t just working in one space, it’s this multi-form space that they’re working in and working with things in a broader kind of way.”<\/p>\n
The exhibition displays a collection of works from well-known artists, including a series of Martin Boyd’s work which are on loan from the Monash Museum of Modern Art.<\/p>\n
Ms Smith encourages viewers to be openminded and approach the idea of the fairy as something that is a symbol of many different things.<\/p>\n
“Fairy” is also part of the Geelong Pride Film Festival which runs until April 28 at the Pivotonian Cinema, Village Cinemas Geelong and Platform Arts.<\/p>\n
The “Fairy” exhibition will be on display at Platform Arts until May 17 with galleries open weekdays from 9am until 5pm.<\/p>\n
To mark the end of the exhibition and in celebration of IDAHOBIT day Platform Arts and Splatters Cheese are coming together to host an open mic event.<\/p>\n
