THE Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is carrying out an upgrade to the Fyans Park boat ramp along the Barwon River from next week.<\/p>\n

The works, which will begin on Monday, June 17 and end on Friday, June 21, will improve the safety and condition of the boat ramp in Newtown for recreational users.<\/p>\n

The upgrade will include the installation of non-slip mesh to the ramp and upgrades to the decking and grass surrounding the ramp.<\/p>\n

Once complete, the works will provide improved access and safety for users.<\/p>\n

The boat ramp will be closed to the public for the duration of the upgrade works.<\/p>\n

The Rotary Walking track and the Fyans Park carpark at the end of West Fyans Street will remain open to the public.<\/p>\n

The Corangamite CMA is advising pedestrians and cyclists to slow down when approaching the area.<\/p>\n
