How long have you lived in your council?

I have lived in the Golden Plains Shire for 35 years, my entire life.

Community involvement: I’ve been a vocal critic of our council for some years, but I am not part of any community groups. I come to this unbiased, to represent the whole community, not to represent specific special interests.

Associated with a political party or movement?

No. I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of a political party.

Preferencing:

I want to learn as much as possible about the other candidates and what they stand for, so my preferences, if I choose to set them, won’t be decided until closer to the election date.

Campaign budget? Receiving financial support?: My campaign is entirely self-funded.

Three most important issues in your area?

I want to reduce our rates wherever possible. I want to ensure the rates we do pay are going towards the things a council should be providing like road maintenance and rubbish collection, for everyone in the shire. I want to ensure council operates with integrity, transparency, and genuine community consultation.
