She brings energy and enthusiasm aplenty. The orchestra will be superbly led by guest leader Kate Carman.

Rehearsals are underway.

Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, composed between 1811 and 1812, is a striking masterpiece filled with rhythmic vitality and emotional depth. Its premiere in 1813 was met with great enthusiasm, and it continues to captivate audiences today.

The symphony is often praised for its driving energy and sense of motion. The second movement, Allegretto, stands out for its poignant and mesmerizing theme, which has been frequently performed on its own due to its evocative power. The work builds in intensity through its lively and dramatic sections, culminating in an exhilarating finale that surges forward with unrelenting momentum.

Guest leader is Kate Carman.

Bizet’s Carmen Suite 1 brings together vibrant selections from Bizet’s opera Carmen, each highlighting different moods and characters:

Suite 2 continues the journey through Carmen’s iconic melodies and dramatic themes:

These suites serve as a vivid orchestral representation of Carmen, offering audiences a chance to experience the opera’s dramatic contrasts and unforgettable themes in a standalone format.

Rehearsals are currently underway, we would love for more string players to reach out to us, in particular, Viola players. We can be contacted by email at [email protected].
