AFTER five months of renovations Coles Ballarat welcomed its customers into the upgraded store on Peel Street yesterday.

Relocating the deli section, adding a new bakery, modern meat cabinets, and produce display bins has smartened the interior.

Renae White-Skirka, Ballarat Store Support Manager, said the customers love the new store.

“The brand-new deli has been the biggest hit in particular the new olive bar and cheese pod,” she said. “The produce department is now the first thing you come across when you enter the store.

“All the new departments have more space and are easier to see things.”

She said the revamped service area has made it easier for customers at checkout.

A Christmas food festival is on the coming weekend to continue the celebrations.

“We will welcome customers and give them a taste test of what is on offer for Christmas,” she said.

“They will be able to taste our flat bread which is baked daily in store as well as products like the new pastrami salmon and our own summer trifle ice cream.”

The food festival is on the weekend from 10am to 4pm with 3BA and Santa in attendance on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
