Expanding Inclusive Support for Victorians with Disabilities

Y Camp Journeys offer participants with disabilities the chance to step beyond daily routines, to enjoy new adventures, and build independence.
THEY Inclusion Services has long been at the heart of disability support in Victoria, delivering person-centred programs that empower individuals and build strong community connections. With a proud history of creating inclusive opportunities, The Y continues to expand its reach across Melbourne and regional areas, offering experiences that make a lasting difference.
Y Camp Journeys is one of The Y’s most celebrated programs—Respite Camps specially designed for people with a disability. These camps offer participants the chance to step beyond daily routines, enjoy new adventures, and build independence in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. From cooking and self-care to team challenges and social games, every activity is designed to develop life skills, boost confidence, and create meaningful friendships, ensuring every participant feels a genuine sense of belonging.
Held at various campsites across Victoria, the camps also provide much-needed respite for families, while delivering inclusive experiences that encourage personal growth and development. With support ratios tailored to individual needs—from 1:1 to 1:4—participants are empowered to try new activities, overcome challenges, and work towards their personal goals. Y Camp Journeys offer Underage (7-17 years), Adult, Regional Weekend, Small Group-Big Adventure and Y Retreat (18+ years) camp styles across every month of the year.
Beyond camps, The Y offers comprehensive Support Coordination services, helping participants make the most of their disability support plans. Our Support Coordinators work alongside participants to understand their goals, explore support options and connect them with the right services. We encourage active participation in decision-making, managing chosen supports and aim to improve a participant’s ability to self-manage their support plans.
Whether through Respite Camps, or Support Coordination, the Y’s mission remains clear: to create inclusive environments where individuals with disabilities can thrive. With 30 years of experience, The Y Inclusion Services continues to be a trusted partner for families seeking meaningful, empowering support.
