Expo putting nature on show
THE Caring for Nature Expo is an opportunity for anyone interested in nature to meet with some of the many groups active across the Central Highlands region and beyond.
“Anyone interested in finding out more about nature is welcome,” said event organiser Cherie Draper.
“Particularly younger people who may be looking for ways to learn more about caring for nature in your own backyard, or through volunteering opportunities or potential career pathways.”
The expo will begin at 10am with a welcome to country and smoking ceremony by Wadawurrung man, Barry Gilson, and conclude at 3pm.
Co-hosted by the Victorian Environment Friends Network and the Environmental Volunteer & Agency Network, the expo is part of the Victoria Nature Festival.
