Pyrenees Art Exhibition returns
AN exciting art event is to be held this Kings Birthday weekend.
The 18th annual Community Bank Beaufort Pyrenees Art Exhibition will run from June 6 to June 9.
The feature event of the art calendar for the Pyrenees Arts Council, this is a true community event, organised in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Beaufort meaning proceeds of the event are used for community projects.
Opening night of the Art Exhibition will be held on Friday, June 6 from 7.30pm.
The night is a great chance to have the first look at all the art and hear the prize winners announced whilst enjoying delicious supper prepared by Beaufort Liliana ladies.
With an average of 400 art entries annually, the exhibition showcases artworks from local artists and from painters across Australia.
The competition is strong in categories of oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media. Also included this year is a special themed event depicting memories on 12′ x 12′ (30cm x 30cm) canvas.
Visitors attending the Pyrenees Art Exhibition will be able to admire all the art while enjoying a delicious Devonshire tea served by the Beaufort Girl Guides.
There will photography to enjoy and the Rotary Club are having a second hand, book sale.
