Sew Darn Special stock a wonderful variety of specialty yarns, fabrics, buttons, tools and equipment to support your creative habit.

The large, bright shop is an Aladdin’s cave of buttons, materials and wool. As an alternative to the larger haberdashery stores, Gael and ‘the girls’ are providing good old fashioned service and friendly advice.

A beautiful range of Australian wool is available in store, together with patterns for most of their yarns.

If you are looking for that extra something to add to your felting and textile project, check out our growing range of home spun and hand-dyed wool by local spinners.

To complement their large range of Knitpro needles, Sew Darn Special now stock the new cubic range of square needles, which are great for arthritic fingers. You can try them out on a sample square.

While some see the button as something that is simple and inconspicuous, if you are sewing something special, or have lost a button from your item of clothing, it can be frustrating trying to find a button to match.
