AUSTRALIA’S favourite comedy festival is on the road to Ballarat once more!

Packed full of laughs, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow rolls out across the country to deliver laughs to regional areas.

The show at Her Majesty’s Theatre will be hosted by Daniel Connell and feature David Quirk, Dilruk Jayasinha, Geraldine Hickey and Jude Perl on Saturday, 1 May.

With her show, Participation Award, selling out during the main Festival in Melbourne, Perl is one to watch out for.

She said she was looking forward to visiting Ballarat and bringing her stand up to the region.

“I am so excited to be in Her Majesty’s,” she said. “I’ve never been there before, so excited to see the beautiful theatre.

“Inner city folks need to be reminded that there is a great big, beautiful world outside our overpriced, decrepit share houses in Brunswick.”

As to what’s on stage, Perl said the roadshow gives regional audiences the chance to see a range of performers.

“I think it’s a great how a Roadshow line up you’ve got four or five different comics to enjoy and we’re all quite different, it really feels like there would be something for everyone” she said.

Spanning from Ballarat to Brisbane and Townsville to Traralgon the roadshow visits more than 80 destinations along the way.

All shows are suitable for audiences 16 and over, and tickets can be purchased through the Comedy Festival website at comedyfestival.com.au/roadshow.
