A night at the trots helps bush fire victims
A FUNDRAISER for the victims of the Bunkers Hill fire is being held at the Ballarat Trotting Club on Friday, 31 May.
A fast-moving grass fire tore through Bunkers Hill on Friday, 29 March affecting many families in the neighbourhood.
Houses, stock, fencing and sheds were lost in the blaze.
“Some of these folk don’t have insurance and have had very little help since then,” said Kelly Dubberley, local business owner and event organiser.
“Come along and support this community and be part of putting a smile back on the faces of those affected by the fire.”
The $50 fundraiser ticket includes a three-course meal in the Terrace Restaurant and a race book.
Media personality and lambassador Sam Kekovich will MC the night ensuring everyone has a great time.
Door prizes, raffle tickets, silent and live auction items, all donated by local businesses, are up for grabs with all money raised going to the Bunkers Hill families.
There are also race name sponsorships available for the night.
Tickets are selling fast, with 180 people already booked in for the event and only 70 tickets still available.
Call Kelly on 0447 496 102 or email [email protected] for tickets.
Tickets can also be purchased at Avalon Nursery 41 Kopkes Road, Haddon and Haddon General Store 49 Racecourse Road, Haddon.
