Acts set for Golden Plains
THE lineup for next year’s Golden Plains Festival has been revealed.
Set to celebrate its 16th year at its traditional location at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in on Labour Day weekend, the roster will feature more than 20 artists.
The event will see English garage act The Streets take to the stage fresh off their latest album The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light, which released this month.
Jazz drummer and composer Yussef Dayes, also from the UK, is set to perform while the Northern Territory’s King Stingray will bring their blend of rock music and Yolŋu manikay to the top of the bill.
French house veterans Alan Braxe and DJ Falcon will also perform while Japanese metalheads Boris will bring three decades of sludge, doom, and noise to the stage.
Additional rock acts include Regurgitator, RVG, Black Country, New Road, and Wednesday.
Also in the bill are Elsy Wameyo, MJ Lenderman, Soju Gang, Split System, The Belair Lip Bombs, Kutcha Edwards, WITCH also know as We Intend To Cause Havoc, Cymande, Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul, MAVI, Anz, DJ Koco, Sarah Mary Chadwick, as well as storytelling with Uncle Barry.
Golden Plains Festival returns next year, running from Saturday 9 to Monday 11 March.
