Aim to have fun
HOP on down to Wendouree Archery Club For something completely different this Easter.
The club is holding its annual Easter novelty fun shoot at its home range in Prince of Wales Park on Saturday, 20 April.
Members and first timers can take aim at Easter themed targets such as balloons filled with Easter eggs or polystyrene foam bunnies.
Hit the balloon and take home the Easter eggs inside.
There will also be egg shaped orbs hanging between the targets.
Instructor Elizabeth McCracken said these are harder to shoot at than you would think.
“Club instructors will be on hand to give a safety talk and demonstrate to people new to archery, how to stand and where to aim,” Ms McCracken said.
The fun will start at 10.30, so beginner archers will have a chance to learn the ropes before festivities begin.
The Club is providing a barbeque lunch at 12 noon to round off the morning’s event.
After lunch club members will compete in the Alf Robinson Memorial Shoot, the second shoot in its new Autumn Handicap Shield competition.
Entry (including the barbeque lunch) is $15 for adults and $10 for children.
