ANIMAL FREE FOOD FEAST

THE fourth Ballarat Vegan Festival returns to the city from 10 to 13 of January.

Along with animal free food the event includes an art exhibition and a Walk for the Animals at Lake Wendouree.

Andy Meddick from the Animal Justice Party will open the festival at the Backspace Gallery, the same venue where the art show titled, You’re An Animal will be on display.

The exhibition is open from 12 to 4pm during the event and free to attend.

Saturday will see the inaugural Twilight Fair featuring a range of vegan food options, goods, merchandise and animal protection awareness campaigns. The Fair will run from 5 to 8pm in Alfred Deakin Place.

The Walk for the Animals goes from at 10am from the MacDonald Band Stand opposite the floral clock. Following the walk a community picnic will be held adjacent to the Band Stand.
