BERRYBANK Wind Farm is again partnering with Golden Plains Shire Council to provide funding opportunities for community, business, and tourism events and projects.

There will be $70,000 of funding available in 2025 in two categories: tourism projects and economic development projects.

Community groups must seek funding exceeding $10,000 and can submit multi-year applications for both categories for a maximum of three years.

Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden said the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants program provides great support to community groups.

“Council has again partnered with the Berrybank Wind Farm to deliver this important community grants program which promotes local economic development and tourism activities,” she said.

“Council also strongly encourages potential applicants to contact council’s community development and grants officer before applying for a grant.

“This helps ensure all requirements are met for their application.”

Last year’s successful projects included the Inverleigh Dachshund Derby, Dereel and Surrounding Communities Men’s Shed community bonfire event, Meredith History Interest Group’s bursting at the seams initiative, Inverleigh Golf Club’s disc golf course expansion, and the Live@Turtle Bend and Spring Solstice events by the Turtle Bend Events Committee.

Applications will open Thursday 1 May and close at 2pm on Monday 2 June.
