Australia Day awards open

NOMINATIONS are now open for the City of Ballarat’s 2020 Australia Day Awards.

The council encourages people to put forward the names of locals who are exceptionally community-minded or are outstanding youths. Alternatively, people can nominate impressive activities, acknowledging them for their positive contribution to the city.

A potential Citizen of the Year must be over 25 on 26 January 2020 and Young Citizen of the Year nominees must be under 25. The Community Activity of the Year Award is given to a person or group who has coordinated an outstanding activity in the community between 30 October 2018 and 29 October 2019.
