5pm, Civic Hall, Mair Street, Ballarat. Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year to be recognised. Dual Australian of the Year finalist, Rachel Cassidy to speak.

SURVIVAL DAY DAWN CEREMONY

5.30-6.30am, View Point, Lake Wendouree. Hosted by the Koorie Engagement Action Group. Uniting in solidarity for peaceful reflection on First Nations Peoples who have gone before.

 

NAPOLEONS

7.30am, Napoleons Memorial Hall, 4715 Ballarat-Colac Road. Hosted by the Napoleons & District Historical Society.

 

MEREDITH CELEBRATIONS

7.30am-1.30pm, Pioneer Park, Wilson Street. Hosted by Meredith & District Lions Club. Sausage sizzle, games, music and guest speaker. Free. No alcohol.

 

TEESDALE BREAKFAST

8am, Teesdale Mechanics Institute, Shelford Bannockburn Road. Hosted by Teesdale Community Events, Leigh Valley Lions, Native Hut CWA and Teesdale Hall Committee. $2 per person.

 

INVERLEIGH BREAKFAST

8am, Inverleigh Public Hall, 71 High Street. Hosted by Inverleigh Public Hall Committee and Inverleigh Progress Association. Historical Society display, Australian games and activities. Gold coin donation.

 

LINTON BREAKFAST.

8am, Linton Recreation Reserve, off Glenelg Highway. $5 per person, primary aged children free.

 

SCARSDALE BREAKFAST

8am, Scarsdale Town Hall, 23 Scarsdale Pitfield Road. Hosted by the Woady Yaloak Historical Society. Raffles and door prizes. Entertainment. $4 per person, $15 family, under fives free.

 

SHELFORD BREAKFAST

8.30am, Shelford Hall, 16 Mercer Street. Hosted by the Shelford Progress Association. Gold coin donation.

 

BANNOCKBURN BREAKFAST

8.30am, Lions Park, Geelong Road. Hosted by the Lions Club of Bannockburn & District. Free.

 

BALLARAT CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY

10.30am, Trench Room, Ballarat Town Hall.

 

FAABI CELEBRATION

4pm, beside the Adventure Playground, Lake Wendouree. Filipino/Australian Association of Ballarat. Bring food to share.

 

FIREWORKS

9.30pm, Lake Wendouree. Attendees can bring a picnic to enjoy throughout the evening before the fireworks which will last 15 minutes.

GOLDEN PLAINS SHIRE AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS CEREMONY

5.30-7.30pm, Bannockburn Cultural Centre. The Shire’s Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year will be recognised. There will also be a Volunteer Recognition Presentation and a celebration of the Community Planning Program’s 20 years.
