Award deadline looming for ceramicists

ENTRIES close for the 2019 Clunes Ceramic Award, with a total prize pool of $14,000, on Friday, 26 July.

An initiative of Creative Clunes Inc. the acquisitive prize is run in partnership with Art Gallery of Ballarat and Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum.

The winning artist’s work will take away $10,000, donated by the Hugh Williamson Foundation, and the piece will be acquired by Art Gallery of Ballarat. $2500 will be presented to the runner up while a further $2500 is awarded to the winner of the people’s choice award.

Recognition awards will be presented at the discretion of the judging panel and announced at the exhibition opening.

The Clunes Ceramic Award is a biennial event first held in 2009.
