FIVE recently graduated litigators have been in Ballarat undertaking training sessions covering workers compensation, transport accident and public liability claims in Victoria.

The potential silks have been recruited by Shine Lawyers and are part of the firm’s 2019 Graduate Program.

The training not only covered complicated legislation surrounding compensation in Victoria but also the methods experienced lawyers use to assist clients with succeeding in their claims, their recovery and getting their lives back on track.

Cameron Tout, Branch Manager of Shine’s Ballarat Office, has 13 years of litigation experience and is looking forward to working with the young up and comers.

“Being a new lawyer is a daunting experience, particularly in personal injury litigation,” he said.

“We help people who, due to their injury, are going through some of the toughest times of their lives. Being able to assist our graduates to learn the skills needed to balance empathy and skill to obtain the best possible result is something we are proud of.”

During Shine Lawyers’ structured 24-month program, graduates will be offered learning and development opportunities and will work alongside experienced lawyers in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
