THE 2021 Ballarat International Foto Biennale includes a core program of outdoor installations and projections.

Part of that is Journey on Wadawurrung Country, a series of works by photographer Ferne Millen that have captured Wadawurrung Traditional Owners and will be projected onto Ballarat Town Hall.

The show has been selected by BIFB curators to run each day from dusk until late at night and created in consultation with Wadawurrung Traditional Owner and cultural manager Corrina Eccles.

Millen’s photos got their launch earlier this year in February at the Geelong Arts Centre, and will be presented again for BIFB from Saturday, 28 August.

“The exhibition was well received by many, and it continues to grow stronger every day,” she said.

“It was a creative way to connect with our First Nations people on the land in which we live and work.

“Many of the Elders whom are featured are incredible artists in their own right. We are thrilled to see it tour and grow organically to reach a larger audience and celebrate and recognise our First Nations people and places of Wadawurrung Country.”

Journey on Wadawurrung Country will be viewable until Sunday, 24 October.
