IT’S time to get your best Aussie outfits ready, with Bogan Bingo coming to Smythesdale next month.

The event is the Woady Yaloak Football Netball Club’s major fundraiser for the year and tickets are $30 per person.

There will be a silent auction, raffles and an open bar and president Adam Liversage said it will be an evening of fun.

“It is the club’s annual fundraiser out at the Woady Yaloak Recreation Reserve in Smythesdale,” he said.

“In the past, we’ve done trivia nights but we thought we’d mix it up.

“It adds a new element of fun that people get to dress up and get together.”

Money raised from the event will go towards various club initiatives such as off-field activities for children.

“What the club really prides itself on is giving back to our kids, so we like to do a lot of off-the-field activities,” said Mr Liversage.

“Last year we took the netball teams down to see the Melbourne Vixens and we took the football kids to see an AFL game at Marvel Stadium.

“We always need to enhance things at the facility like seating, lighting and uniforms.”

Mr Liversage said aside from raising money, the event will also be a great opportunity for the community to get together.

“The football netball club is about community connectedness,” he said.

“We know that football netball clubs are built around communities, so we expect to create that real community atmosphere.”

There are still places available at the club for under nine, 11 or 13 football or in the NetSetGO and Auskick programs.

Anyone interested is encouraged to contact the club on Facebook.
