BUNINYONG Football Netball Club will be bringing their game off the field and into the club room for a trivia night later this month.

The event will take place on Saturday, 30 April, and Melanie Crimeen, committee member and canteen manager at BFNC, said the evening will have something for everyone.

“The idea was to try and encourage not only our senior players to come down and get involved with us, but also our juniors families and community members,” she said.

“We find it’s mostly our senior players attending our regular events so we’re especially wanting more of our families to feel involved and a part of the club.

“It’s about getting everyone engaged with us in a different way, getting them involved and meeting new people.”

From 7.30pm, the night will comprise a series of games, trivia, an auction and a raffle with prizes to be won.

Football manager Wayne Morgan will MC, and funds raised will go back into the club for general upgrades, maintenance and equipment.

Ms Crimeen said she hopes the trivia night can become an annual event for the club, and that the response has already been encouraging.

“If we can run a successful evening then I’m sure we could do it again next year, so fingers crossed it’ll be a great one,” she said.

“A few people have said this is a great idea, that we haven’t had one of these for years so it looks like it’ll be a welcome event for the community.”

Buninyong Football Netball Club’s trivia night will take place at Buninyong Recreation Reserve.

Tickets will be $15 person with the option to book a table of 10 for $140.
