Bulldogs’ health program returns
A FREE men’s health program backed by AFL side Western Bulldogs is returning to Ballarat.
Sons of the West, which was first held in the region in 2016, will be back this year providing a free health program to men over 18.
Sons of the West includes health experts that cover topics such as nutrition, mental health, gender equity and masculinity.
“We are proud to have been coordinating the Sons of the West program over the last seven years,” said Andrew Milligan, Sports Central program manager.
“It is always great to see men learn more about their health by engaging with experts across a range of topics.
“These men also have a lot of fun and gain a lot of satisfaction through participating in weekly physical activity sessions.
“We have seen men develop long lasting friendships, make positive lifestyle changes and become more involved in the local community.”
Giveaways and other incentives are included throughout the program.
Sons of the West is a partnership between the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, the City of Ballarat, and Sports Central.
The program starts on Tuesday, 7 March at 7pm at Phoenix college.
