Compost input
THE EPA is seeking community feedback on a proposed compositing facility at 607 Shelford-Bannockburn Road, Bannockburn.
The facility would be located on zoned farmland about three kilometres west of the Bannockburn Golf Club and could accept up to 52,000 cubic meters of waste per year including poultry manure, hatchery waste, grease trap waste and abattoir waste.
More information on the proposed compositing facility can be found at engage.vic.gov.au.
People keen to provide feedback to the EPA on the plan can email [email protected] or by post to EPA Victoria, GPO Box 4395, Melbourne, 3001.
The authority advised that feedback from community members “will usually be made publicly available.”
