Eat, drink and give to research
OCTOBER is a great month for dining out at some of the Ballarat’s best eateries.
Enjoy dinner and drinks and support the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute at the same time.
As part of its Restaurants for Research campaign, diners at participating venues will have $2 of their bill donated directly to the locally based cancer research program.
For the second year in a row, restauranteurs have banded together to support the cause.
Underbar, Pub with Two Names, Mitchell Harris, The Boatshed, Table 48 and Pipers on the Lake are just some of the 20 restaurants currently signed up to the initiative.
Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of the community to continue their internationally recognised research.
Institute Director, Professor George Kannourakis said the hope was that this campaign would engage with the broad community and raise vital funds for the Institute.
