Enterprising endeavour returns
BUSINESSES across Golden Plains Shire are invited to connect with each other at two networking events hosted by the municipality.
The first event will take place on Thursday, 23 June at the the Courthouse Hotel in Smythesdale with the second slated for Wednesday, 29 June at Bannockburn’s Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro.
Golden Plains Shire mayor Cr Gavin Gamble said the events will be sure to benefit the region’s businesses.
“The return of the business networking events marks an exciting milestone for the business community in Golden Plains,” he said.
“Our local businesses are key drivers of the local economy in Golden Plains, and we are proud to support all businesses in the Shire across a range of industries.
“The business networking events provide a wonderful opportunity for our many small and local businesses to connect with their peers to gain valuable business support and strengthen professional friendships.”
Beginning at 5.30pm, the first event will see Golden Plains Shire’s coordinator of economic development Peter Ridsdale providing tips on post-pandemic business recovery.
Attendees will also receive an overview on the municipal Economic Development, Tourism and Investment Attraction 2022-2032 Strategy and a summary on the latest business support initiatives.
The second event, starting at 12pm, will feature keynote speaker Rachael Robertson, who will discuss her experiences as the second woman to lead an Australian expedition through Antarctica.
She will also present organisation building techniques and discuss how companies can adapt to changing business climates.
The first event will cost $25 with the second at $60 with tickets available via goldenplains.vic.gov.au/events.
