Fair to help job seekers
THE Mining Exchange will host the Ballarat Jobs Fair on Thursday, 16 May from 10.30am and 2pm.
Run by PeoplePlus Australia, the fair’s aim is to connect local people with local job opportunities, employers and services.
PeoplePlus Executive Director – Employment, Tina Hewett said it’s a chance for Ballarat to network and look to the future.
“These organisations are interested in providing opportunities for sustainable employment for active job seekers in their surrounding communities,” she said.
“The fair welcomes and encourages all to come along and learn from the best in the business.”
A jobs board with current vacancies will be available and guest speakers from various organisations will share tips and insight from their careers.
Attendees can also enjoy light refreshments and a barbecue.
Last year’s event hosted exhibitors from local employers, government departments, employment services providers, labour hire companies, apprenticeship providers and registered training organisations.
The fair is perfect for curious job seekers and career changers, and it’s also an opportunity to hand out resumes and discuss job vacancies.
