FedUni to host war on waste dinner

IT’S time to head to your nearest op shop and get dressed for Federation University Australia’s War on Waste Dinner.

In the spirit of environmental sustainability, the dinner will feature a Sustainable Menu, great entertainment and the chance for guests to dress up in the best – or worst – op shop fashion.

“Federation University Australia is committed to environmental sustainability – we have a number of programs and initiatives implemented across the University and campuses. This includes our new ban on single use plastic water bottles,” said Director of Campus Life at FedUni, Colin Marshall The community is invited to join FedUni staff, students for this exciting night out. Guest speaker will be Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia, the ABC television program.

“The dinner will be a fun night. Why not come along and find out how you can get involved and make a difference?” Mr Marshall said.

It will be held from 6pm to 9pm, Tuesday, 12 March, at the Albert Coates Complex, Mt Helen Campus. Tickets are $25 each.

The dinner is being held with the Grampians Central West Waste and Resource Recovery Group.
