THE Golden Plains Shire community can provide feedback on a proposed lease for a new telecommunications site at Ackland Road in Lethbridge.
Community consultation is required under the Local Government Act 2020 and the community is encouraged to provide feedback.
“The proposed tower is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to expanding infrastructure assets and ensuring residents have access to reliable telecommunications services,” Golden Plains Shire interim CEO Steve Sagona said.
“While this is an important step in helping us address connectivity challenges, we value the feedback of Lethbridge residents and want to hear your thoughts on the proposed site.
“Your feedback will provide a vital role in informing our decision-making process and ensuring the project aligns with the community’s needs.”
The lease is being negotiated with a private provider and the project is in its early stages.
The land at Ackland Road has been identified as a suitable location.
Feedback is open until Thursday 17 April on the Golden Plains Shire website or at the Shire’s customer hubs.
