IT’S not quite Antiques Roadshow but for anyone wanting to know what their old thing might be worth bring it along to the Ballarat Antiques Collectables and Vintage Bazaar on Queen’s Birthday weekend.

A What is it Worth fundraising stall at the bazaar is being run by the Ballarat Group of The Order of St John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller Australasia.

We want to give the Ballarat community the opportunity to have their precious possessions valued said Peter Morey, Order Member Chevalier.

“All monies raised from the valuations are donated to charities in Ballarat,” he said.

Antique auctioneer Brian O’Halloran will be on hand to examine and value family treasures, antiques and what-nots.

Mr O’Halloran said he mostly does household valuations and the bazaar will be something different.

“I am looking forward to it being a fun day,” he said. “I enjoy everything to do with antiques and I hope people will bring in some nice things.”

The Ballarat Antiques Collectables and Vintage Bazaar is at the Mining Exchange, 8 Lydiard Street North, Ballarat on Saturday 8 May from 10am to 5pm, Sunday 9 May from 10am to 4pm and Monday 10 May from 10am to 3pm.

Entry fee $5 and receive a $1 discount off Devonshire tea or lunch.

The What is it Worth stall is open across the three days of the Bazaar from 12pm to 2pm and valuation is $5 per item.
