Find your healthy mind
IF you’ve been looking for an opportunity to discover or improve your approach to mindfulness, Brown Hill Church Hall may have the perfect event planned.
On Friday, 6 September at 1.30pm, Ballarat Community Health’s Counselling Services Coordinator, Katrina Bevelander will present about healthy minds before an afternoon tea.
“The presentation explores mental health as a continuum, detailing how mental health shifts and changes over time,” she said.
“We will look at the experience of anxiety and depression as well as contributors, indicators, and risk and protective factors. The presentation also explores self-help strategies and the links between diet and mood.”
Support systems and services in the local area will also be identified during this session, which is the second BCH wellness seminar the church has held since May.
“The Ballarat Community Health Counselling team also offers a confidential and supportive environment to explore the impact of mental health and wellness through individual counselling,” Ms Bevelander said.
