Commerce Ballarat: supporting female business leaders and entrepreneurs reach their goals

COMMERCE Ballarat helps to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women because visibility and awareness help drive positive change for all women. Here we acknowledge some of our many amazing volunteers, supporters and sponsors!

2019 has well and truly kicked off for CB, with the first Industry Chats for HR, Hospitality and Retail, monthly Biznet Breakfasts, Sales Stars Program and Mentoring Program all underway.

Early Bird registrations are now open for Business Day Out 2019. Among our key note speakers for the day we will be joined by Eliza Brown, CEO of All Saints Estate. Eliza is from a fourth-generation wine family in Victoria and will be focussing on the topic ‘Making Good Mistakes’. Participants will hear from a variety of keynote speakers and have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals throughout the day.

This conference is planned and priced to ensure it is mostly accessible to all businesses. We hope to see you at Business Day Out on Wednesday, 29 May.

Nominations for the 2019 Federation Business School Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards open on Thursday, 14 March. The underpinning philosophy of these awards is to foster innovation, promote excellence and recognise achievements and efforts. By nominating your business you will begin a process of self-analysis rarely seen in day-to-day operations.

It is exciting to see the work on GovHub and Mair Street commencing.

Whilst this a transformational project for our CBD and we know that an additional 1000 workers in the area will be of great benefit to the business community, it is important to remember the impact on the many businesses around these projects during construction.

Commerce Ballarat encourages everyone to look for opportunities to support these businesses in the coming months and years.
