Free summer fun in the Shire
SCHOOL holiday fun is set to be on offer in the Golden Plains Shire this January with a range of free activities.
The program kicks off on Tuesday 9 January and runs until Thursday 25 January and is open to young people aged 12 to 25.
The activities have been designed to meet the needs and interests of that age group as well as to provide opportunities to learn new skills.
Some activities on offer will be cupcake decorating, tenpin bowling, board games, paint by numbers and Mario Kart.
Events will take place in a range of locations in and around the Shire including Smythesdale, Bannockburn, Ballarat, Geelong and Little River.
Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham encouraged young people to come along and enjoy the summer holidays.
“Council’s free school holiday program is a great opportunity for young people to mix with their peers while enjoying a range of fun and exciting activities,” he said.
“All programs are safe and inclusive and supervised by staff from the youth development team, so we encourage you to check out what’s on offer and register through Council’s website.”
More information and registration for the program can be found on the Golden Plains Shire website.
