French choral concert
MELBOURNE Bach Choir is presenting a French themed choral performance with well-known Ballarat organist Calvin Bowman as accompanist and soloist at the Ballarat Central Uniting Church.
The concert of French music, conducted by founding Artistic Director Rick Prakhoff, features Fauré’s much-loved Requiem as the major work.
Soprano Emilia Bertolini and baritone James Emerson, both Henkell Scholars with the choir, will be the soloists for the Requiem.
The program will also include short choral and organ pieces by Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Ravel and other composers.
The concert is at the Ballarat Central Uniting Church, 103 Lydiard Street South on Sunday, 30 June at 2.30 pm.
