Funds for more hall storage
UPGRADES to the Inverleigh Public Hall have been boosted by a State Government Tiny Towns Fund grant.
The Inverleigh Mechanics Institute Reserve Committee has been allocated $50,000 to boost the storage capacity of the community space which is used by residents of the town and surrounding district for functions, meetings, and other events.
The committee plans to establish a sealed, insulated shed, with a carport, and a path to and from the hall.
“While Inverleigh is a tiny town, it’s growing,” said Member for Eureka, Michaela Settle.
“With more people and more activities, we’re excited to be able to contribute to the expansion of the public hall to allow more locals to make use of an already incredible community asset.”
This round’s Tiny Towns grant recipients across the state are sharing $20 million. The aim of the fund is to strengthen small communities in regional areas.
“We’re helping our tiniest towns reach their full potential with so many community-driven projects that will upgrade local facilities and encourage more visitors to Victoria’s vibrant regions,” said Minister for Regional Development Gayle Tierney
