COMMUNITY members are invited to head to Haddon Primary School next week for an interactive futsal clinic.

The event organised by the Australian Futsal Association is suitable for children of all abilities aged six to 12-years-old.

“Any ability is welcome and it just for some fun to give children a taste for what is involved in our trainings,” said Benjamin Cullen, West Victorian Administrator at the Australian Futsal Association.

The clinic will include a mix of drills and games, led by what the children would like to do, try, and learn.

“I try and mix it up a little but with some different games to get some feedback from the kids as well,” said Mr Cullen. “Some kids love doing a penalty shoot out or some just want to play a match.”

Mr Cullen said futsal is a great sport for children to play and the perfect way to introduce them to soccer.

“As a kid when I was playing, I loved how much you get the ball compared to outdoor soccer,” he said.

“Futsal is really good for younger kids particularly if they’re planning on playing outdoor later in life.”

The clinic will be on Monday 8 July at Haddon Primary School from 10am until 1pm. Tickets cost $45 and can be booked at bit.ly/3ztSB6z.
